Day 160- Heart Shaped Bokeh
While browsing Pinterest, I saw a photo of how to make your own heart shaped bokeh! I made a little cover for my camera lens out of construction paper and voila! This is a photo of some twinkle lights in our backyard.

Day 154
Day 154- Scary Spider
It's that time of year again; the giant spiders are popping up all over the place. I'm pretty sure this guy is a Spotted Orbweaver. It is huge, about the size of a quarter when its legs are curled to its body, but when its moving around, it seems huge. I love everything about Fall, except for these guys!

Day 152- Praying Mantis
I spotted this fairly large Praying Mantis in our backyard as I was outside with the dogs. I watched it for awhile and took lots of different photos. Although this guy was pretty big (a little longer than my pinky), I wish I had a macro lens so I could focus in a little more on the details.

Day 151
Day 151- The West
I grew up in California, lived in Arizona, and spent time traveling to many of the states in the west, however, Wyoming is definitely the most "Western" place I have visited. In my short time here I saw a lot of boots, cows, trucks and open plains. We only visited the a tiny bit of the state but it was beautiful!

This beautiful girl is Maggie, my first cousin once removed. I can't believe little Maggie just turned 4! We had a really fun afternoon with her doing girly things like shopping and getting our nails done. Here are some photos I took of her in our backyard! She is such a photogenic little girl!

On my way home from work, I stopped to take some photos of a field of corn. I took a bunch of pics of the corn but my favorite of the bunch was this one of a tall pole an power lines.

The clouds were lit by the full moon tonight creating a gorgeous sky! I snapped on my zoom lens and got out my tripod and got some fun shots like this! Such a great spooky Halloween sky, just a month and a half early.

Day 144- Cattails
today while walking my dog, I snapped this picture of some cattail plants growing along the pathway. I played around and took the photo overexposed and underexposed. I thought this too bright, overexposed photo was kind of fun.

Day 139- Back Bay Sunset
I quickly snapped this shot out of a car window while we were stopped at a red light. The view was too pretty to pass up. If I had had the time, I would've pulled over and set up a nice photo with my tripod, but this picture will have to do for today!

Day 134
Day 134-Sunset Hanger
Running errands tonight, I admired how impressive the Tustin Blimp Hangars looked at sunset. I pulled over and took this photo as close as I could get to the hangar. Since the base closed, the hangers are not getting as much upkeep as they used to and as the paint fades on the enormous doors, you can see that they are build out of wood. I did a little research and learned that these hangars are the largest freestanding wooden structures in the world. There has been a lot of talk about tearing down one or both of the two buildings, but I really hope they preserve one for a museum or park. When I was little, we attended a pancake breakfast inside one of the hangars. I'll never forget the awe inspiring feeling looking around the huge structure.
