Candy Corn Cookies!

Ingredients
-1 1/2 cups butter- softened
-1 1/2 cups sugar
-1 teaspoon vanilla
-3 cups flour
-1 teaspoon baking soda
-1 or 2 packs of Sugar in the Raw
-yellow and orange food coloring

Directions-
1.   Beat butter, sugar, and vanilla.
2.   Add flour and baking soda. Stir.
3.   Divide dough in half.  Add yellow food coloring to one half.
4.   Divide the remaining dough into two portions- 1/3 (for white tip) and 2/3 (for orange).  Leave the 1/3 portion plain, without food coloring.  Color the remaining 2/3 orange.
5.   Place divided dough in fridge for about an hour.
6.   Once dough is chilled, divide each color in half.  You will be making two candy corn "logs."  Roll out each portion of dough into a long strip (like a kid rolling out a play dough snake) then stack the colors.  Use your hands to shape the log into a candy corn shape.  (See first picture below)
7.   Make two candy corn logs.  Wrap them in wax paper and stick in fridge for a few hours, until firm.
8.   When dough is firm, slice 1/4 inch cookies off of the log.
9.   Place cookies on lightly greased cookie sheet.  Top each cookie with a little Sugar in the Raw.
10. Bake at 375 F for 10-12 minutes.
11. Enjoy!
